Cutting grown plant, trunk caliper is 3/4 inches. Completely
trunk finished tree except for the apex where there are mulitple
choices. Scar healing occurs very quickly on this species, so the
frontal scars will cover over in about two to three seasons. Nice trunk
movement and taper. Since this is a cutting grown plant, there is an
excellent radial root network although no nebari has yet been started
except to keep the roots straight. This is winter foliage color and
will be brilliant green again in the spring. |

and second section in place, needs third trunk section and apex . A bit
of reverse taper at top of base section will need a couple of years to
repair. Since this is a cutting grown plant, there is an
excellent radial root network although no nebari has yet been started
except to keep the roots straight. This is winter foliage color and
will be brilliant green again in the spring. |

Cutting grown plant, trunk caliper is 1 1/8 inches. Completely
trunk finished tree except for the apex which needs shortening. Scar
healing occurs very quickly on this species, so the
frontal scars will cover over in about two to three seasons. Nice trunk
movement and taper. I kept digging down into the roots and kept finding
more and more trunk. Good nebari possibilities and no serious root
problems. It's a little naked after this pruning, but will bud out into
a little green fuzz ball this spring for a great selection of branches.
This is winter foliage color and
will be brilliant green again in the spring. |
