Seedling grown plant, trunk caliper is 1.6 inches.This pine has a very
thick trunk base section for a one gallon plant with a slight undercut
on the left side. Recommended trunkline is to turn into the
first
small branch. The rest of the larger branch should be retained for
several years as a sacrifice and keep the tree strong until the new
trunkline is able to take over. Main trunk stub could be carved as a
feature or removed and carved out. Foliage color is normal for winter
in our area, it will green up quickly in spring. | |
